Lifetime Afternoon Movie Event (L.A.M.E.)

Where to start? A few things I noticed in the first hour:
1) Blank manufacturers emblems on the cars? You can't even show these anymore?
2) Funny how despite taking place in Chicago the main character (Blondie) slips in a few "aboots" and "soaries", eh? Sooooo Canadian.
3) Lab techs don't wear high heels to work since they have to stand in them for hours while at work.
4) I'm a cop and I forgot my gun? C'mon! I'm then directed to turn it in and "I left it at home"? Why not just say the dog ate it?
5) Why can't CSI personnel interview suspects? Don't these people watch CSI?
6) It was so obvious which cop was bad within the first half hour.
7) Cops don't retain their position when they "transfer" from one city to another (they cannot transfer- except on TV). If you're a detective (actually Inspector) in San Francisco, you'd start out on patrol in Chicago after resigning in San Francisco and being hired in Chicago.

More of a soap opera to me than a drama.

EDIT
I just read the sole review here and I was waiting for laundry to dry while I was watching it! Spot on review in that respect.

Angie Harmon is a right-wing RELIGIOUS FUNDAMENTALIST
Still not seeing the problem!

Shut up. It was good. Much better than typical Lifetime fare.

And now that it's over, I'll add in the "typical" bad guy "here is what I'm going to do" speach at the end. He should have "shut up" and pulled the trigger already!

On the plus side, we now know at least three people have watched it.

It was an enjoyable movie for just being entertained and amused.

Precisely. And that's why I watch movies.

I have to agree with you. It appears you and I are the only ones who liked this film.

And Vandervoort has a great set of legs - eye candy to this grampa. Also liked the hard-nosed boss. Most of these actors have long pedigrees, so I don't get all the crap that is poured on them.

It's entertainment fer cryin' out loud - overlook the "aboots" and other "goofs".

First off, cute acronym, L.A.M.E. ;-)

Wow, a Canadian living in a northern US city like Chicago? How unheard of? LOL

6) It was so obvious which cop was bad within the first half hour.

Actually I thought it was the first 5-10 minutes. As it really WASN'T a whodunit as you saw Gus kill the informant right off the bat.

So obviously that was intended.

Listen, I don't think this was the greatest movie in the world, but it was fine for Lifetime fare, and Marcie was quite cute (especially when kicking butt).

Your faults above really aren't "faults" per say.

Actually I was defending a Lifetime Afternoon Movie Event.

I'm not Canadian but a) thanks for the compliment and b) I've visited Calgary many times and Toronto once - nice cities.
