So it's spoofing spoof movies?

I read online that this is gonna be spoofing the spoof movies. So if that's true then doesn't that really mean they're just spoofing the original movies more? :X

If your confused now, just wait till they start spoofing the spoofs of spoof movies.

From the sound of it, and this is just speculation, the movie isn't (or at least shouldn't be) actually spoofing these spoof movies, as much as parodying the concept of this string of spoof movies that have come out recently, particularly ones involving Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer.

There are some spoof movies that are really funny. The Zucker-Abrams-Zucker team made some great ones (i.e. "Airplane", "Kentucky Fried Movie"), as did Mel Brooks ("Space Balls", "Blazing Saddles") and the Wayans Brothers ("Don't Be A Menace", the first "Scary Movie"). The reason these films were funny was because they didn't just repeat scenes from popular movies as much as demonstrate the banality or sheer ridiculousness of genre movie elements.

Most other spoof movie that have come out in the last ten years have taken the lazy approach by basically repeating what has been in popular movies. In a few months, there is a very good chance "Date Movie", "Epic Movie", "Meet The Spartans", and "Disaster Movie" will be tied on many critics lists for the worst movie of the decade. There are appallingly unfunny films that people unfortunately pay money to see. So hopefully this film will combat the lazy filmmakers who profit from cheap gags and no original ideas, like Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. It's high times someone in the movie industry sticks it to those no-talent ass clowns!

Well freakin said..."no-talent ass clowns". Burke I live in Miami and you wouldn't believe the amount of *beep* that crowd the theaters to watch those films.

I just want to thank you. This is the first ever intelligent comment I think I've seen on the IMDb boards.

THANK YOU!

It pains me to know that people are backing these god-awful films. Talented young writers and directors are finding it increasingly difficult to make films yet the Disaster Movie crowd are still making films that maybe produce a few cheap laughs and contribute nothing to film as an art form. I am looking forward to seeing NANAM to see what these guys have to say about the making of these films. For the record, studio executives obviously know when a film is going to be bad, do they not care about the reputation of Hollywood or American films at all?

This movie sounds very interesting, specially the plot of spoofing the makin of spoof movies.

And I agree With D Burke about the reason these movies aren't funny. If they are funny, they just don't age well when copying specific scenes from famous movies. I really liked Superhero, though ( One of the only spoof movies I've enjoyed in A LONG TIME )

I agree too, the only spoof movie I love is Scary Movie, and only because of shorty!!!

Family Guy is awesome
Don't you hate when people do this?

Than you have to watch the "Hot Shots!"-movies or other ZAZ films and the works of Mel Brooks or Monty Python. They made the best parodies by far!
