The Irishman and Joker: The pendulum swings

We're starting to see good movies again.

I agree. Greatly anticipating both. So few and so far between. We used to get a lot more back in the day, a lot of crap these days. I am also looking forward to Guy Ritchies The Gentlemen. Trailer dropped today.

reply

Wow, I just watched The Gentlemen's trailer..we are definitely getting spoiled with potentially great movies all a sudden!

There are good movies released every year. Unfortunately there are always a lot of bad ones, but that has always been the case. It’s just that we remember the good ones.

reply

Yes, yes we are. Joker was fantastic, I might even renew my Netflix subscription to watch this and El Camino.

The studios are very much capable of knocking it out of the park with fantastic productions like these but they pander too much to woke teenagers on Twitter which ends up alienating everyone else. Keep it up Netflix and your customers will come back.

If they keep politics and social engineering, pc crap out of films, people might give a toss again, no one wants to pay for not so subtle brainwashing.

reply

I'm thinking about seeing this both at the theater and of course later on Netflix.

reply

So you think that grim films about horrible people are "good", and the next big trend?

I hope you're wrong, i hate films like that.

reply

It's not about the theme of the movies but how well made they were.

reply

Well, there is a bit of a similarity to your choices for "good" movies.

THE OP HAS MURDERED ANY POINT THEY MAY HAVE BEEN MAKING FOR SIMPLE REASON....THE IRISHMAN ISNT OUT AND 12 DAYS AGO WHEN THE POSTED NEITHER WAS JOKER....GUESSING,HOW IGNORANT.
