Why the uh-oh? Sounds good to me and its a long time(2007!) coming. Can't wait to hear the reviews Friday!

With its seventy-something cast and director, was anybody expecting anything but an older perspective on the genre?

Scorsese has been hit and miss for me for a long time, but I am interested in how this turns out.

“What will surprise you is, as a Scorsese movie, it is a slower movie. It doesn’t have the kind of intensity, the visual intensity, as a Casino, as a Goodfellas. It is guys looking at themselves through an older perspective.”

hmmmm... big budget somehow, 3.5 hours to begin with, and the producer says the above. Seems like a really narrow target demo here. It better be an awards darling b/c I can't see any other angle. Prestige or bust.
