Tree Ents

Does anyone else wish that they (anyone) had done more justice to the Merry/Pippen/Treebeard section of the stories. I've heard the Tom Bombadil comments a lot, but to me the time spent with the Ents were one the best parts of the second book, so relaxing yet suspenseful. When it culminates at Saruman's Tower you really feel your pulse quicken because the story's pace is so heightened. I know that the adaptation would be both slow and chock full of money-heavy CGI, but I wish a group of fans could take up the banner and give us Ent fans a thrill. Maybe even a little Entwife action.
