What the hell? It's an English jail, all the guards and inmates have English accents.

reply

It doesn't look anything like an English jail!

reply

I think they start in an english nick and somehow manage to end up in an american one

reply

This simply looks pathetic.

The first film was just dreadful but this goes beyond belief!

An English prison where inmates wear Guantanamo Bay style orange jumpsuits?! Since when? Hilarious that the yard also looks like something in LA. The filmakers must believe their audience to be completely retarded!

After delving deep into the hooligan psyche i have completed a translation of his caveman ramblings to the following:

"I disagree old chap, i believe Green Street Hooligans to be a delightful film for all the family and i insist that we sit down and discuss the motion picture further over a nice cup of yorkshire tea."

"Yeah,well..well Dracula called and he's comin' tonight" - Master Shake

Are you guys that gullible that you think that's a real post? Just someone trying to be funny... didn't quite succeed, but hey at least this post hasn't yet dissolved into the usual 'brits vs yanks' debate

Chop is right, the first one was the best damn movie ever

reply

Both jails in this film are in England and its a pretty good movie IMO

they are in an English jail both times...

At both prisons the signs read "Royal Prison Service" instead of HMP lolol, it looks like the inside shots may have been filmed on location at a UK prison as they are quite realistic, i.e the scenes inside the cells etc, but I have to agree the outside looks nothing like any UK prison I've seen, Also if they were American jails, why the hell would they end up in a Chelsea jail, then get moved to a millwall jail all in America....

Think the orange jumpsuits were just for transportation, again, doesn't happen, you travel in what you are wearing, but I guess it was for added effect, they do however use brightly coloured jumpsuits/clothing in the UK for things like prisoners likely to make escape attempts (not seen orange though.)

I'm guessing by the amount of time they spend out of their cells that they are at highest cat c prisoners, the fact Big Marc gets moved to a cat b in the end also indicates this.

reply

lets not forget the fact you can check on the imdb page to see that it was filmed in america, its not SUPPOSED to be american prisons, its meant to be set in england but its FILMED in america

reply

Watch the movie ya *beep* Wanker ......its in G.B. not the usa ..............DEFINETLY NOT IN THE US ..................jus watch mate youll see

reply

The credits at the end of the film say:

“Filmed entirely on location Fred C Nelies Youth Correctional Facility Whittier, CA (California) USA”

reply

Location, location, location. Unless you've spent time in Brixton or watched too much "porrige" from the 70's you have little or no idea what a modern British prison looks like inside, do you? useful idiots like you need to make your own movie....

yeh thats right, and none of us have the ability to either check on imdb where it was filmed or look at the end credits to see it was filmed entirely on location in america

so forget any of that and listen to hard man hugh, none of us have any clue about anything, only he knows

It could be for tax reasons or to suit a tighter budget, and they just hoped the violence and footy loving idiots wouldn't notice
