Director's Cut, and the black cat.

So after watching the Director's cut I have a theory. When the cat runs across the bar in the dream scene we all assume it's a refrence to the girlfriends cat, but now I think it's Rocco reincarnate. His soul was saved when he killed that "real sick *beep* but because he killed an innocent creature he has to pay penance. It's the only thing to account for the times it shows up.

Actually, there more scenes shot for the dream sequence, which included a gray cat, but were cut from the film. Duffy says that regrets not having the gray cat in that particular scene because it was a call back to the cat being accidentally shot.
