So much potential...

...wasted.

Basically they had:
- the entire old cast
- even Dafoe reprising for a small role
- a good idea replacing the unbeatable Dafoe with a pretty lady, even introducing her right.
- obviously enough money for special effects and settings

and *beep* it up with:
- a goofy, copycat slap-stick-script
- restraining every actor letting them do what they do best
- a horrible lead actress - with even more horrible lines
- mediocre camera-work
- cold and heartless stages. Just remember the oval hotel room, or where they shot the cat, the back alley... The only halfway decent setting was the end, and even that looked like they could only afford to set-up 50% of it.

flair: gone.
style: gone.
truth: gone.
forced: check.

5/10 for the effort.

Agreed. I gave it a 6/10. Some good qualities but just really messy and some cringe worthy stupid parts. Rocco dream etc. It felt like it was trying to be a comedy more than anything.
