Riku IV!!!

I'm on the boss battle for Riku IV and OH MY GOD IS IT SO HARD (and I thought Vexen II was hard...psh). The farthest I've gotten was getting him down to about 5 health bars and his sleights are insane.

Do you guys suggest leveling up and getting more sleights, CP, and HP? What should I focus leveling up on? I'd say HP, I guess.

I'm on about level 47 and have mostly been focusing on CP and HP. I barely have any sleights.

If you’re playing on proud mode I can't help you. If your playing on beginner like I was then make sleights your best friends like now. I was like you. I thought using sleights was useless so all my level ups went on HP and CP. I beat Riku 1 and 2 very easily without them, but then I got to Vexen 1 and was told if I didn't use sleights kiss Sora goodbye. The sleights Ars Arcanum or Sonic Blade with Jafar activated should have Riku gone within a minute. If he has any bars left after that, he shouldn't but still.., use the sleights Mega Flare and Firaga Burst. These four sleights are very, very powerful against all Riku's battles and all the Org. bosses except for Marluxia's last form. They basically eat health bars.

CP and sleights mean everything now from the third Riku on up. Forget HP because trust me Marluxia's(and your very close to him now if your on the 4th Riku battle) last form is a nightmare and its like your HP doesn't exist. The more CP you have the more powerful cards you can fit in your deck. Don't put any of you level ups into HP anymore at this point. Only CP if you want to stand a chance. Note: Again this strategy only works for beginner mode. If you are on proud you’re on your own lol.

Ah, I see. My strategy might work on that mode. Good luck with that lol.

Yup. It worked. I beat him in five seconds. Along with Roxene and Axel.

Congrats! Now you just have Marly's two forms and a nightmare. The strategy will work on his first form, his second one is flying so attack cards are out. Magic sleights all the way for that one. His third form is a nightmare and a half.So I don't really know what to tell you for that one since it took me 10 tries to beat it even though I was on Beginner Mode. Also the deck you use on his second form is the one you have to use on his third. No save points. Good luck.

Really?
I thought he was pretty easy. The two battles I had the trouble with were Vexen II and Riku IV. The other ones I beat within two tries.

Now on to Reverse/Rebirth mode!!

What!!!! I'm the only one who sucks at Marluxia's third form, and on Beginner no less?! Lol, Have fun with Reverse Rebirth.

No, you are not the only one. It took me a while to figure out how to get around Marly's doom spell (for the final form) and how to kill Marly without over-using sleights (for all forms) because I always seem to be running out of attack cards whenever I do and all that's left is the black reload card! >:( I thought I had to constantly mash Sonic Blade onto him. But every time I do, I get down to his last health bar with only 25% of his health remaining yet permanently run out of cards. Then he starts wacking Sora to death. I figured out later on to just keep on using 9, 8, 7, and Potion cards without ever using a sleight. Okay maybe one or two sleights but no larger than that.

all i used for Riku V.4 was sleights Sonic Blade and Strike Raid, and then the enemy cards Maleficent and Jafar, and high level attack card + elixir/ atk card reloaders...he didn't even lay a finger on me

PS. this strategy works for proud mode

This battle took me a month. I did it off and on you know, even restarted the whole thing.
Okay forget everything these guys have told you because I know the most reliable way to beat Riku.

Make a whole new deck. Stock it with your best attack cards and some reload cards and heals, maybe even the Oogie Boogie card.
Now leave a lot of room. Add a bunch of Zero cards in your deck until you run out of CP.
Distribute the Zeros throughout your deck so you can get to them easily while battling.

This makes everything so easy!
Whenever Riku uses his powerful sleights, just shift to the right and use a zero card and break the whole thing. Just remember to not use the zeros in sleights at first.
But yeah you should be set now.
