One of the worst films I have ever seen

Picked it up from the bargain bin because it had Maggie Q wielding a sword on the cover - big mistake!

It has two things going for it early on - some nice landscapes and a cute baby wolf. It ditches both of these about 30 minutes in and becomes the story of the brutal repeated rape of a woman kept in a basement who then falls in love with her rapist.

This film is repellent. Avoid.

Had I not seen it, I'd find your remarks hard to believe. But I have, and you're absolutely correct. It's one of the most narratively incoherent films I can recall having ever seen.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

But...but....IT HAS MAGGIE Q! so I have to watch it :-D

Yup, it was bad! Watched it on Youtube and couldn't even finish it. Had to stop watching when Maggie Q's character decides it's a good idea to fall in love with the man who has been raping her. Ugh. Just a terrible movie all around.

Rape seems to be a favorite theme in Asian movies. That reminds me of the exploitation movies from decades ago that posed as educational. But the Chinese show it pretending it's for the audience to simpathize with the victim, then it all gets swept under the rug because the woman falls in love with her rapist, as to say, "See, there's nothing wrong with rape." For a country with their history of oppression and arranged/forced marriage, it's a normal way of thinking for men.
I saw it on a bus while in China.

Under our clothes, we are all naked! Bare nipples (of females), genitals or buttocks is nudity.
