The version I watched cut out RIGHT as the ending scene (after the credits) was happening... Can someone tell me what happened?
Also, man I wish this movie had more reasons for things happening!

He picks up the doll that was previously left with the baby on the boat, which means that it probably washed ashore and fell victim to the infection, and furthermore, since the secret antidote information was placed in the back of that doll, he was now in possession of the only knowledge available to counter the next outbreak. Not a bad stinger to an average movie that could have been so much more, but managed to deliver entertainment-wise.
