no, I am right there with you. I believe it was implied that
she was going to masturbate. then even when she actually told the
kid to get her accordion, we didn't see it, so I think the joke was
still going. then later, when she was playing it, I was like, punchline.
it was clever, IMO.
while this might not have been a perfect movie,
it was mostly due to continuity, not dialogue.
