Real or Fake ?

This show seems a bit odd. Some believable, some not so much.

Psychics I really dont believe in, but coming from kids you kind of give it a second chance.

The girls story about the guy taking the souls to heaven, and leaving the bad ones in the ground calling that "hell". Just kind of odd.

but coming from kids you kind of give it a second chance.

But this stuff really isn't coming from kids. It's children perpetuating adult fantasies and adults encouraging the fantasies of children.

First off, anything with a certain "psychic" some one is always heavily staged and produced. He has been caught lying many times by many people who have experienced his hoaxery first hand. second of all, these people are all delusional and this tv show feeding in to that is unhealthy. the military has extensively researched and experimented with so called "psychics" and found them to be statistically false on just about all grounds. although there are still psyops they operate on a whole different ideology than your run of the mill "psychic". Psychologically speaking however, all of these "psychic kids" when speaking of their "gifts" are self gratifying/absorbed, arrogant, and very bi-polar / overly emotional. i forget the term for it but these people want to feel "special". they want something that makes them stand out of the crowd, not only out but above the crowd. its the same condition a pathological liar may have, the desire to impress people. this show should be ashamed of itself on many different levels. BAD SHOW! BAD SHOW! *rubs its nose in itself*

*sigh*...skeptics. Guess it's easy to just forget that most of these kids have already seen psychiatrists and doctors (some for most of their early adolescent lives) who found no sign of mental or physical illness. God forbid we open our minds to the possibility that some of these children are going through something that our science doesn't fully understand at the moment. Whoops, I said the G-word, which has to be another fairy tale since we've already reached the pinnacle of all knowledge and since we can't see or touch God at the moment, he must not exist.

By the way, I'm not some religious nut or bigfoot chaser. I also have my doubts about religion and believe that a lot of paranormal claims have logical explanations to them or are scams. But I also believe that there are genuinely things out there that we can't fully understand yet.

I think the children and families on this show are being helped but if you really don't, maybe you should do something more than preach on a message board. Why not write letters to some child services agencies and tell them how this show is ruining these children? Do you want to actually help these kids or do you just want to laugh at the crazy people who believe in 'mumbo jumbo'?

Just another example of how retarded skeptics can be.

That's the thing - skeptics are close-minded idiots. They don't leave themselves open to being proven otherwise, because they feel themselves to be superior to others. Better off just ignoring them.

And if you're implying that Chip is a fake... do you know the man? Do you know anything about what he does? I think you'd find *very* quickly that you're wrong.

reply

Believers are close minded idiots as well. They don't listen to what skeptics have to say. In one ear and out the other.

reply

Exactly, they can't believe that it's NOT real. Give any skeptic enough SOLID evidence and they can become believers.

hogwash - probably a grip, or other production staffer.

this show is disturbing only because it exploits children who have active fantasy lives.

I agree with you about the kids part. Them I can trust as more believable. They're not in it for money, fame, or attention. Most of the time one parent doesn't even believe them, they're scared, and they don't even really want the gift. The younger they are, the more believable, to me.

the gullible are the only spirits materializing around here.

Mentally ill children with parents who brainwash them are believable in what way? GIFT? Mental illness is a gift?

All the comments from the skeptics on this thread sound like they have never even watched the show. Their comments just don't make sense in connection with the content of the show. It seems more like they came here to scream at the rest of us who have watched the show that we are stupid and the people who make the show are stupid. I find the show interesting and entertaining. The locations are great, some of them are really spectacular architectural gems. I don't watch it with a mind to hate it or disbelieve it. I just watch it. If they are faking it, shame on them, but it doesn't ruin my life. If they are not faking it, well that is just cool that they can do that!

reply

Of course it's fake. It's all just kids saying 'this happened here' with no way to prove or disprove it to us, an audience thousands of miles away. We're just supposed to believe them, it's bull. They can edit anything to look real, but they can fake any document or background they need to in order to corroborate whatever story they made up for that specific episode.

Watched one today for example where they walk into an abandoned house, and the little girl starts mentioning someone with asthma used to live there. Then for 'proof' you have Chip saying 'that's what I picked up as well.' This proves nothing except that people will believe anything anyone says as long as it's on TV...

"dude i dont care i just love this movie you guys have a realy taste in movies what wrong with you"

reply

But t hen there was a girl outside a train who could only pick up "purple", and what on earth would that have to do wo th a train?? Except that the interior was all purple. and the other girl on that episode did a pretty amazing job describing President Taft who made that train car famous.

of course, in this day and age, every one ofthe could have just googled the information of their smartphones after learning their location.

"The girls story about the guy taking the souls to heaven, and leaving the bad ones in the ground calling that "hell". Just kind of odd."

I totally agree, that statement seemed like something she imagined up from listening to her parents. I had a phoney vibe about that one. (no pun intended)

reply

What you guys don't realize is, most of the parents on this show DON'T WANT their kids to have this "ability" and actively encourage them to not use it. Reading these comments about how the parents are encouraging these kid's with mental problems totally proves that you have never watched the shoow.
