Well, I thought it was good.

I was expecting them to pull a Sopranos when he was pulling his mask off.

I wanted to yank that mask off every time I saw an episode! catharsis...

I was expecting the son to be alive and looking for revenge.

I loved it. They really couldn't have done a more perfect ending.

Only thing is they should have had a "10" walk out of the cabin with a drink for him at the end.

I'm just sad to see it go. For some reason I was thinking they were doing a one hour special, didn't I hear that somewhere? Maybe it was just wishful thinking :/

reply

Yeah, I heard it was going to be a one hour so was disappointed when it ended after only 30 minutes. On The Onion AV Club, they had originally said it was going to be 60 minutes.

Cutting it to only 30 minutes after saying it was going to be 60 minutes... not cool, not cool man.

Jon's video message is poignant and sad. But if they were going to kill the show, I'm glad he got one last show going to go out killing the show.

Jon: “You know I kinda figured we’d follow me and David into hiding. That seemed the most logical step for the show… either that, or we go to LA. I thought that was a pretty solid option. Set us up in a pretty sweet bungalow in Venice Beach, just kick back and reap the rewards of my celeb status… Phone call comes in from you [Susan Shapiro]. ‘Jon, got some good news, guess who want to do a sitcom with you-- Richard Belzer.’ Boom! Jon and the Belz primetime Thursdays nights! …oh, man.

Well, all that’s not going to happen… Instead, I’m going to disappear forever.”

I felt bad for Sergei even though he deserved it.
