About one of the actors...

Laurence Belcher (the kid who plays Michael) is a good friend of mine at school. He's a great actor, and we just finished doing Sweeney Todd as a school musical together. Now, I haven't seen this film, and save for the fact that Laurence is in it, I have no intention of watching it either, but I was wondering what people thought of him in this film in general?
