How many episodes did NBC make and then how many did TNT finish?

Curious...I would imagine NBC prob. only made 6-8 shows to see if it would be received well...Just my guess...Steve

NBC made the first and second seasons. They only aired the first, though, before cancelling it. TNT then bought the rights, aired the second season and produced the rest of the show.

s1 was scheduled as "summer filler" and did better than expected, so they greenlit a 13 ep second season. AFTER they started airing promos about it's return, NBC pulled the plug literally in the middle of shooting s2e6. Contracts had to be honored, so they were allowed to finish another week's work before shuttering production. TNT picked it up and aired those six eps the following year and gave them three more ten episode seasons.
