A third season?

Was this not renewed for a 3rd season? It's a terrific show. Does anybody know? Thanks.

There is no season 3, unfortunately. I don't know why though. It was very popular, so bad ratings is not the reason. Maybe the plan was 2 seasons from the very beginning? For Rejseholdet, made by the same people as Livvagterne, they had planed 30 episodes. But they made two more episodes a couple of years later, sort of by popular demand. I keep hoping for something like that for Livvagterne too.

I've been watching foreign series on Netflix (like Underbelly, Misfits, The Protectors...) and not only do they have short seasons (10 - 15 episodes) but the series doesn't last very long either (or they bring in a bunch of new cast members from season to season). It's very disappointing because you get involved with these great characters and then...BAM! the story ends...

It's really a pity that good shows only last a season or two, while many of the "13 a dozen" ones goes on forever... In many cases there is no real ending either. In Livvagterne I feel it ends more with a new beginning which is a bit frustrating because I really want to know what happens next.
