nicely done

I'm a fan of redneck/crazed hillbilly/hicksploitation movies, and if you're on this board I bet you are too. Rented from Redbox, expected it to be terrible and was surprised. Sure, it has a very low budget and was shot on video, but the filmmakers did a good job with it. Some good tense moments and some solid performances. It starts out a little weak, with a typical setup and pretty low production value, but as it progresses the look of the movie and the camerawork improve quite a bit. I wonder if they shot the first few minutes with no budget and then got some investors based on that. The dvd is terrible, bare bones. Horror dvd's should have at least some cast/crew interviews and a making-of. But if you're a fan of sadistic redneck rural horror, it's worth a $1 rental from Redbox.
