Blitz - The Mini Series ?

Really good and original movie, some superb performances (Aidan Gillen rocks), but is that just me or the movie would be a lot of better if it was made as the mini series ? I would just love to see more adventures of Detective Brandt and Porter Nash. I would love to see a whole mini series.
