Hawco is/was the Driving force behind the series and it was his choice to 'quit while ahead'
by all accounts everyone got along, so Reunion projects wouldn't be off the table
especially with the new trend of 'delayed renewal' where projects like Twin Peaks, Coach, Full House, X Files, Prison Break, 24, etc get picked up anywhere from 2-20 years after the Finale for a new season on Premium Cable or Streaming...
But seeing as the Doyle Finale was Late '14; I wouldn't expect anything for a good 5 years (unless Hawco really Needs a Paycheck; How many times has Kevin Smith Promised the "Last Chapter" on Jay & Silent Bob? and yet Mall Rats 2 and/or Clerks 3 is apparently in Production)
I tweeted Allan Hawco about doing more and he said no but they are making a film. So we will get more Doyle!
