Pathetic ... Is this supposed to be a film ... It looked like a really cheap episode of some tv soap opera ... Emmerdale farm with witches/Pagans ... If this is all the new Hammer is capable of they might as well forget it ... Hammer turned out a few interesting films ... But they were just a name people remembered ... More for the fact that the actresses got their boobs out than anything else ... They are mostly remembered by teenagers for various actresses breasts ... Which is fine ... The films were fun ... But NEVER great films ... So people remember a name ... So What ... This was absolute drivel ... Pathetic and clueless
The other Hammer film of recent time "The Resident" was also pretty clueless ... But at least it looked like a film rather than a piece of bad TV

Emmerdale is a good reference actually - I was reminded of it during the crane shots over the rear of Tim Spall's house, where the rituals were going on. As the camera rose, we were supposed to be horrified by scenes of debauchery and pagan savagery, a la The Wicker Man or Ursula Andress' She - instead it looked like Amos (or whoever) was having a new tractor delivered, causing a ripple of excitement amongst the residents of Emmerdale.

(It IS a town and not a Farm now, isn't it?)

It's too cerebral! We're trying to make a movie here, not a film!
