My problems with this movie

I actually enjoyed this movie. Its sweet enough and it doesnt focous only in the love story, which is actually great (cause the love story was kind of non existant =P).

I had some problems with it, of course.
The first being that altought they have all this great different plots going, they didnt developed them enough. For example, Emma's parents, played that two actors that I enjoy a lot. They had the scene in the bath, showing that their story is relevant for this movie. But then its like they completely forgot about them. Actually, until Emma's dad dies you hardly know whats going on with them.
Also, the all murder story, from the moment Will is arrested. I was like: wow, how did they suspect Will? did the police know he was following Emma before she did? did someone told them? was it Emma herself, when she was told about it? (if it was, it is horrible, she has to appologize a looot).
Too manny loose ends for my taste, this movie deserved another half hous,

The second problem being that I do think Will has a problem. Its not about his lifestyle or is clothes, or him talking to his death parent. And he's sure a light hearted character, played by a decent looking actor with a very cute smile.
But I do think Will has some mental desorder. I understand that him following Emma around and all was for the sake of romance, but the guy is completely obsessed with this woman, its actually scary and I completely understand his brother.
Even the way the actor plays it makes it seem like he has some problem. The things he says and specially, the way he speaks (that way of mumbling words out)...like he has difficulties to put together toughts and words. I mean, by the time Will tells Emma he has been following her I was thinking "wow, this could turn out to be a very good stalking horror movie, they're completely alone and he is seriously wrong in the head".
Also, thats why I love that they dont kiss at the end. It means they're not together, probably never will be. It was realistic enought. She was scared by his obsession but that led her to misunderstanding him, which cost him jail time. It makes since that she would want to apologize and thank him for getting her rid of the murder she was planning on marrying. And she needed to go to him, since there was no other way to reach him.
I mean, as he is, he will annoy her until they're together, but its nice how they ended the movie like this, because them kissing at this point, and be all romantic with each other, would be totally ridiculous. She doesnt know him at all. It was a good change from your tipical romantic comedie.

You must have left the room or something when Aaron was calling LAPD to tip them off about Will.

Otherwise I agree, was glad there was no kiss or anything like that in the end. Will was kind of creepy and need some help.

Some times it's better to keep some parts for the audience to speculate. I agree about the parents that I truly love both of them as utterly splendid actors, but those short scenes as you mentioned are memorable parts of a movie which we remember a movie by and not always the story or character development.

about that Will became a suspect, Aaron obviously told the police. I usually miss these things when I'm watching a movie with someone who keeps asking me stupid questions ;)

And yes Will has an obvious mental problem. you can tell that from the moment of his presence. but I don't see any problem with it. it's part of his character in the movie. interacting with normal people in our daily life is boring enough to not make a movie out of it, right?

Will's character is so likeable though the way he is obsessed with Emma is more like when kids fell in love and want to get married after a disney movie! there is no problem with that either.

The ending was exactly what this type of love should portray, a simple innocent attraction. I was impressed more by this and in fact this made the movie so original.

Did someone actually kill her dad, who was it and why?
