The Mary Sue Syndrome

Blech. I tried, but I just couldn't empathize with any of them. Everyone is so sickeningly perfect.

Funny how their last names are similar and how they even look alike, but Sturridge reminds me of Jim Sturgess in Upside Down. The both speak semi-poetry with that throaty voice with the sweet and innocent childish lilts in an effort to sound deep and pure. And I just want to slap them hard.
