That was heart breaking. It was difficult for both the adoptive family and the kid. The adoptive parents were honest and I don't fault them for what they said. I just can't imagine what it's like for a kid to not have a family who wants him and another who cannot trust him at first.
shareI thought the adoptive parents were kind of rude. I understand their apprehension and questions, but the way they went about it was painful to watch. Her questions were so demanding almost like she as scolding him, and her attitude just really put me off. It felt so unwelcoming. If she was so worried about his background, why were they even going through this process with him? why not adopt a different kid they felt more comfortable with?
They pretty much said, 'yeah we might do you a favor and adopt you, but we're not going to give you respect, affection, or trust until we feel like it.' He's still a human and they were treating him worse than the new parents of an adopted dog would!
