Is it him or his double in fight scenes this time round?

That's all I want to know really.

His last movie "Kill Switch", was absolutely shockingly bad, You could tell it wasn't him doing the fighting, hell it didn't even look like Seagal in the fight scenes.
The movie before that however. "Pistol Whipped", It looked very convincingly like it was him doing the fighting (I thought anyway). If it wasn't then it was edited really well.

But lets face it, we watch him to see him in action right? if he's not doing the fights then what's the point?

That's what I liked about him from the start, his brutal Aikido fights. I understand he's getting older now, but surely he's still fit enough to do his own fight scenes.

i was going to doa review on the film, but even got bored of wanting to do that lol.

ok so ive watched the film, or i should say browsed through it becuase the film bored me... but not as much as his previous films.

in a way this attempt was sorta pleasant becuase it had a stronger feel ie didnt give an out right cheap feel where the gun shots would have the blood explode 100 ft, but though sadly you still do have the few gun fights where the attacker gets shot by his smallish gun and they fly backwards about 30 feet and off their feet.

the body doubles are getting better how ever i can still see the difference, and im quite sure near the end in the house where hes actually movign more than hes ever done apart from his first 3 films, sadly though im also 1005 sure that its a cgi jobbie for his face to appear on the body dobles body becuase somethign doesnt fit with the way the body is and how it moves, espcially since seagal is f6t5 and about 21 stone, the body in the film seemed to move around as though it had a fake belly under the jacket and also the body seemed to be a lot more squashed when he bent his knees... now i know this becuase im 6ft6 and 21 stone and i can asure you ...ya dont look like this when your doign those movements.

the plot of the movie is well.. if you have seen the previous 300 hundred DTV releses, then you have seen and known whats going to happen in this one, and i so wish he would take the direction JCVD did with his films.

and yes thank god, hes actually increased the volume of his ridiculous whispering talking rubbish to a good 2db so that we can hear him...if only just.

also did anyone slese notice that hes trimmed down and cut his hair, also his face looks so much better than the others....maybe hes gotten rid of the stupid guru that hes had with him .

the knife practising scene took me back to his " back in the good ole days" films. shame though that the camer wasnt further back so that we could actually see him at his best, becuase this just gives the impression that hes missing every damn shot and the knifes are already in the board.

oh and theres a massive consistancy issue right near the end literally minutes from the end with the last fight, lets just say when you ue your hand to go inside sombody and then suddenly have clean hands onto the next scene ...something isnt right.

overall, the fight scenes and some talking has drastically improved, but my god if this is what it things to come, then its going to take another 500 filsm before hes at his original best, ie when people actually wouldnt take the mick out of his films.

I watched the fight scenes on YouTube and they looked alright. They couldn't match his earlier work circa 1989 - 1994, but they were way better then anything he's done recently.

No fighting doubles whatsoever. I spotted a stand in once in the bar, and once when Seagal is arrested around the middle of the film, but neither were in fights. The fighting was 100% Seagal.

Aren't you relieved to know you're not a golem?
