Am I missing something?

Is this a complete joke? I don't even know what to say about the trailer I just watched.

My fist thought was that it looks like a Saturday Night Live skit. It IS listed as a comedy... but they might be playing it too straight cause I didn't exactly laugh.

To me it looks like a skit from The Ben Stiller Show... BTRO even looks like Stiller doing a mix of Bono and Bruce Springsteen.

This idead is so *beep* up, it could actually work.

It's hard to believe this is a real, feature-length film. The trailer is excruciatingly painful: the production value is bottom of the barrel, the acting is atrocious, and the whole thing feels like a one-joke premise. I can't imagine sitting through this movie, much less paying to see it.

It was hilarious in person, saw it opening night.

reply

Yes, it is a comedy. Think of those 80's movies like Breakin' and Beat Street
with a touch of 70's kung fu "You killed my teacher/brother/father etc" thrown
in and thats what this is.

When I was in PA there was this old opera house turned Indie theater where we would go once in a while to watch a movie for 2 bucks. There is a very good reason why these movies are not played on a regular theater cause it caters to a tiny faction of people that would blindly support any Indie trash and support is as a higher state of intellect for regular movie watchers to get. Just like we got majority of clueless idiots that would believe whatever is put on TV...

You are not alone in thinking this is a joke. It is a joke and a test to see how dumb are the public crowd to swallow up any rotten trash with a Indie label stamped on it.

This movie is only backed by SAG and even that support is very minor.
