Are They Serious With This Movie?... 'I challenge you to a beat off'

I am never one to bash a movie until I see it end to end... but seriously, this just looks incredibly awful... I almost spit out my coffee and I wasn't even drinking any when "I challenge you to a beat off" came outta that kid's mouth... Can anyone explain to me how this movie could be even remotely good?

I guess if it had come out in the 80s it might be a cult hit... but now... it's just... a bad idea...

Thoughts?

If this was made about 20-25 years ago when movies like Beat Street and Breakin was released, it would have made a little more sense. For today, it's just so out of place.

or maybe a couple years ago when dance dance revolution was at its peak

Maybe they were trying to make something like The Room, only on purpose, instead of the glorious accident that Tommy Wiseau wrought upon us.

I laughed my ass off. Sorry you didn't find it funny.

Agreed.

If you have to question why it is funny that someone would make a 'super serious' move about rival gangs that settle disputes through 'beat beat revelation' then you're never going to get it.
