this is like a bunch of gamers and nerds got drunk at a comic-con and wrote a script with their token black friend.
Its hilarious if not taken too seriously. I laughed so many times at just how ridiculous it was, but i enjoyed it so much!
I think you missed the point, OP. The movie was supposed to be a huge ridiculous cliche-- that's what's so great about it. The irony of this bunch of white trash kids having a DDR turf war over a little trailer park town in the middle of nowhere is what makes it hilarious.
Granted, I know The FP isn't for everyone and you're entitled to your opinion, but I found it to be a very successful satire.
