I was just wondering if anyone could help me with the classical music pieces played throughout the movie! I would really appreciate if anyone could list any/all of the the pieces in the movie! Thanks ahead of time!!

Time to stay up, it's been a long long day. And you got the sandman at your door. So hang on, leave your tv on, and let's do it anyway. It's okay. Tomorrow's just your future yesterday!

I love the theme song to the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. I stay up every night to hear it. And watching Craig isn't all that bad either. He is so cute! LOL

Well, off the top of my head, I can remember two of them. One (I think it was in the professor's house that his mom cleaned for), I believe was from Handel's Messiah. Another one was from The Four Seasons by Vivaldi, one of my favorite pieces in the whole world. I keep mixing up the seasons, however, so I can't remember which one. Listen to the whole thing, you'll be happy you did. :-D

I'm glad that I could help just a bit. I recognize a couple other songs, but can't put my finger on what they are exactly. I really wish the songs were listed somewhere.

I grew up in a house filled with music, a lot of it classical. We had bunches of records. Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi, etc. I would listen to those often, especially when we were doing things like large puzzles in the living room. I took violin, piano, and harp, the violin since I was 5.

I try to instill some of those things in my own children, both of them have taken violin and piano. But it's harder and harder in this day and age to keep kids listening to things like classical music. There are so many outlets that weren't around when I was a kid, like computers, internet, ipods, cell phones, etc.

I really appreciated the emphasis on the music in the movie. Growing up with the Suzuki Method, we were taught to surround ourselves with things that stimulate mental growth. Good music, art, books, etc. This movie really brought that out and made me feel more motivated to expose my children to that even more.

It looks like we may be watching the movie with the kids tonight (if they get their homework done in time!). I'll keep an ear out for the different songs, and see if I recognize anything else. :-)

That sounds like a wonderful environment for a child. I'm a young adult, and it's very difficult to find others in my age group that share my interest in classical music (although I like a lot of the modern music, too) and art, along with good English literature (like Jane Austen <3).

Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it!!

Somewhere in there was "Spring" from Vivaldi's "Four Seasons"...usually the most recognizable of the movements from that piece...

I know that the one song where two sopranos are singing is the Flower Duet. Info found on wikipedia:

"The Flower Duet" (Viens, Mallika, les lianes en fleurs... Sous le dôme épais) is a famous duet, between characters Lakmé and Mallika, from Léo Delibes’ opera Lakmé, first performed in 1883.

Thanks so much for the reply! I'll definitely have to check that out!! :)))

I'm no help but I'm looking for that music too. If you find somewhere where I can download the whole movie soundtrack, could you put it up please?

Air on the G String is playing when he was operating on the kid with the seizure (or another operation, I couldn't remember)

Vivaldi, Antonio - Concerto No. 2 in G Minor: L'Estate (Summer)
This was the one playing on that quiz show.

That's off the top of my head.
