The Animation Style Should Have Been Different

Seeing that pannel of the comic in the Director's Cut REALLY took me out of the movie, because it was way to modern. They should have taken a style resembling the comic's art. The style in Ralph Bakshi's films and even the style in Heavy Metal would have been PERFECT. Damn them for not thinking that!

The animation actually reminded me very much of parts of Heavy Metal, especially the sequence with the undead WWII airmen.

Am I the only one reminded of the 90s Jonny Quest when seeing this?
