I found it really interesting that Paul grew up feeling he was born in the wrong body, but was still attracted to women. I've heard straight men joke about being a "lesbian trapped in a man's body", but this is the first time I've actually seen one. Anyone else find this strange/interesting?

No. That's not unusual or contradictory. I've heard of several male-to-female transsexual individuals who were attracted to women.

Sometimes they say (at least some male-to-females) that "they love women so much they decided to become one." There is probably a lot of truth to that.
