Am I the only one that got what the point was?

I totally agree with most of the points made here about this DVD. I heard about it accidentally. I downloaded first before I bought it. I thought wow this isn't funny at all. Then I watched it again and I got it. These are the cut aways from the show that they couldn't do either because they are too vulgar or didn't fit with the theme of that particular show. That's why it seems a little off. The one with the cats in a meeting and the dog coming in with a wrecking ball was funny. The fred flintstone crapping was stupid. When I looked at it that way it was a little more enjoyable. Give it another try with that point of view and you might be surprised.

I think these were the cut-aways that they couldn't put into the show because they were painfully unfunny.

Yeah it's still not funny

By what standard??? I thought they were all very funny, especially the religion based story lines. Funny, and smart. This isn't comedy for people who are unable to determine the social commentary. And yes, I recognize that sometimes it's just "what ifs", as in " what happens if Fred flintstone takes a dump?". Even then it's made socially awkward because it goes on far too long (think Austin Powers). Hilarious.

The point is that these clips only saw the light of day as a quick money-raking operation.

That's why the youtube channel that hosts them keeps pulling them down and reaploading them with new sponsors at the start, and some of the ads are longer than the actual clips.

I thought most of them were funny, at least on par with most family guy cut aways. I don't see how someone who is a big fan of family guy or american dad wouldn't find this funny.

Maybe the reason the Famiy Guy cutaways are better because they have a better contextual setup.

When you break it down, the Back To The Future joke in Family Guy isnt very funny in itself, but the way it is setup by Stewie makes it unexpected and much more amusing.

If it had been shown as part of Seth Macfarlane's COCC and entitled "Doc Brown Is A Racist" then it probably wouldn't have made me laugh at all.

Just purchased Cavalcade Of Cartoon Comedy. It is a great collector's edition for Family Guy fanatics
