The Circumcision Gag

Was anyone else highly offended by that one? I mean I love Family Guy, American Dad, and The Cleveland Show. I even enjoyed most of this DVD, but I found the Tarentino gag with him circumcising a baby with a sword highly offensive. I mean prom night dumpster baby is one thing, but to make a joke out of harming an infant in that manner is just wrong.

All of it is a bunch of offensive garbage.

Since the baby was fine afterwards with no katana damage whatsoever besides the obvious, you're saying the offensive part was the act of circumsising itself ? I can agree to that. But at least the dumpster baby was funny.

No....the act itself is fine....it's weird, it's one of those things that are awful to go through, but the after effects are nice....like not having to clean yourself every 5 minutes like uncut guys have to do...

I blow a guy who is uncut and it's good and stuff, but it's annoying that you have to keep holding the skin back...I like a nice cut one that you don't have to hold

BOO!

I must say, even though I like the way you think, I've never had the problem of someone having to keep anything back. Hygene is never a problem either, so I just wouldn't see a reason to have a piece cut off.

I can see why people would find it offensive, but the joke is that the baby is fine afterward. Perhaps it's a satirical comment on how all circumcision is genital mutilation that people don't complain about because they 'get over it'?

Thing is the joke doesn't really work well because of the dialogue they gave Quentin, like complaining about Uma Thurman nagging about her character's name, despite the fact her name is revealed in the first half of the second movie and there would have been no reason for Uma Thurman not to know it from the start.

But yeah, I'm pretty sure Seth would claim it was satire. The irony here is that the OP is very quick to announce that they're offended at this portrayal of 'harmless' circumcision but then quickly defends the practice itself as being perfectly okay.
