I can see 40 being a bad age to be a virgin but REALLY 18. I mean come on. Isn't it better to just wait until the right person comes along before jumping right in at 18. you're just too young to be doing that sort of stuff. I'm about to turn 18 and in no way do i want to lose my virginity yet.

Sex is about a 20? Are you a guy? Honestly, your "first time", or losing your virginity is pretty overrated. By overrated I mean that first person you have sex with in the long run generally doesn't matter honestly. Chances are you'll be around 16-20, and you won't end up with that person. It'll just become a memory.
sharei have a friend that i had a boyfriend since she was 16, now married to that person and shes 27. its now there 7th wedding anniversary and they didnt have sex til they were married. now i have a girlfriend now, and of course we've had sex, and we have plans to get married and im only 16. and i will end up with her, i cant wait to prove you wrong :)

I agree, I lost my virginity at 17, and at hindsight, I wish I would've waited a wee bit longer. Okay, maybe that is a half-lie. But the truth is the circumstances I lost it under made me act (not think) like that was the only way to get a woman.
Now many of my friends that started having sex at 14-15 have kids, marriage problems (some are only 25 and on their second marriages), etc. Most got into these really heavy relationships waaaaay too fast and obviously burned out on it. I may be moving like a snail in comparison, but at least I don't have all those problems, and kids I can't barely take care of.

Virgin at 18? Nothing "wrong".... but a little strange, at least from my point of view. I know that some beliefs might try to do it´s best to suppress a teens sexuality - but hey, what are we talking about here, really? "Virginity" is not that good a thing you know. It is not a physical thing you can put in a box and save for a rainy day - and it sure as taxes does not get better as it ages.
And sex is FUN, and when those feelings awakens in a young person - it is really exciting to explore it. I don´t think that should be saved but relished and encouraged. But hey, that´s just me, and being Swedish - I suppose it is in my genes :)

nope, nothing wrong with being a virgin at 18 or any age, it just depends on when that particular person matures.
however it is NOT better to succumb to pressure to either lose it or save it further than you personally, truly, want to. Thats just oppression.
When youre horny enough to want it, go for it. Thats why you go thru puberty, to become a sexually reproductive (or recreative, whichever floats your boat) creature.
I think it's perfectly normal to be an 18 year old virgin, thats about the age that most of the people get the chance to lose it..2 years more or less, i cannot really see the difference. Its actually better if you do it with a person you have a relationship with, and not someone you just met. That was my case anyway, and i dont regret it.
However i think that the first time is much more important for the girls.
Boys tend not to take theirs so seriously, as they are rather insensitive. At least I didn't care if it was then or 1 or 2 years later. No complaints it came early though ;-)
