That's the feeling I got when I saw the trailer... and that's a film to emulate. It's an amazing piece of work, but if that's what the filmmaker is going for he is setting his sights quite high.

It seems to want to be Persona but it's all a pretentious mess.

It seemed to be influenced heavily by 'Persona' and works of David Lynch, and Jim Jarmusch. Although I kind of liked the film (and Ellen Barkin's performance was brilliant) it was still quite the mess.
