Depending on how it does in China it will probably end up doing around 250 million, which on an 85 million dollar budget isn't bad at at. I also don't even think it has been that much of a disappointment domestically. It was predicted to open around 20 million and that is what it did. share

Maybe people are getting tired of the same old movie over and over again. Movies need to change or else the public will stop going and just stay home and watch television.

Judging from the news about the UK, I will miss all of these supposedly more intelligent British movies.
It's also pretty obvious movies like xxx are made for an international audience.

They aren't since the Star wars movies keep making a billion everytime.
JURASSIC WORLD is a total clone of JURASSIC PARK and that also crossed a billion.
There has been a shift though. Last summer was pathetic as far as box office is concerned. I think it was one of the worst summers in years. Certain things will do well, but others that should have done well did not.
shareHahaha, too late. Not only is he in two very popular movie series, for Fast & Furious he was given the rights to the Riddick franchise by Universal. Which means that every so often he can use the money from his popular movies to produce a new Riddick movie.

Wishful thinking.
It has an ensemble that will appeal to Indian audiences (Deepika), Chinese audiences Donny Yen) and Thai audiences (Tony Jaa) not to mention the other offerings of eye-candy like Ruby Rose et al. Talk about hedging a bet.
Vin Diesel may not be oscar material but he knows what sells tickets.
Diesel can't sell this movie to the American public though, so it must be really bad.
shareYeah, plus Paramount already called Diesel up about a fourth movie, I think before this movie even opened, so even though it bombed domestically it seems like it will continue on. Hope they fix a lot of the mistakes they made with this one.

They made very few mistakes IMO.The zero gravity airplane scene
at the end is simply fantastic.
The biggest mistake they made was that they didn't call me to
cast the 100 women in this movie.Hope they call me for XXX4.
