Always Wanted To E A Casting Agent

At my age..it's too late...but how many of us have watched a movie or tv show and were critical saying "who cast that person!?"
We always think we would have done it better...
Loved this movie & loved that Marion Doughtery was given the recognition of her instincts to help so many talented stars to the screen.
RIP...among the "stars"

I loved how MD and Co. Ran that NYC casting brownstone back in the day.

To be a fly on the wall of that place with all those great talents just wandering around:)

Engine engine number nine, on the NY Transit line..

Totally agree. That's actually why I was really excited about seeing this film. I have always been interested in how good casting directors do their job. As this film says I think it takes a genuine and innate skill to see something in someone and know in your gut that they are right for a certain part even when you don't know them personally. It's almost like you see who they really are..as Diane Lane pointed out. Especially Marion with so many people that she found which at that time were pretty much unknowns and made them stars.
