**Spoilers** I didn't get the end

In the end when special branch finally get hold of Lucky's whereabouts (his mate knocks on the door and tells him to come outside); Lucky first considers jumping out and then smiles to himself, grabs the phone and supposedly calls someone. Special branch finally break in, the guy lies that he isn't Lucky and moments later a few others cops come in.

Thing is, I thought those guys who came in later were probably thugs that Lucky called and promised to pay to get him out of this mess; but in the next scene they show Lucky getting arrested anyway. What was that half-smile and phone all about then? And why did he just stood there and almost waited for special branch to come in?

Well even i didnt get that, but i think he wanted to get caught,
as seen in the beginning of the movie, he was being promoted so much.
I guess he enjoyed all the fame...
Moreover when he looked outside the window he saw more cops coming in, he probably thought that by calling the police under a fake name would help the special branch ppl to look like thugs who were going to beat him up,
This would then give him a good chance to escape...

I dont think he wanted to get caught. When he realized that the police (special branch) is already there, he knew there was no way out. And a 'fake police' couldnt have come up in a jiffy.
He was a prized catch for the police and since he was anyway going to be caught he decided to have some fun by getting two departments of the police to fight over him

I didnt get the end either and im talking about the actual end. He's walking off while the news reporter is talking just behind him?? Also the whole photobook, what was it suppose to represent??

Great movie tho....loved abhay's performance

He just wanted to cause confusion in hopes to escape, that's why he called the local police so they would fight over him. When the opportunity presented, he escaped (in the taxi, when they all 3 of them were sleeping).

well...all i thought was...that the ending can be explained in two ways....

1.)either it was imaginary...and...that lucky was just walking out in the open...showing that he was free...

OR

2.)in simple words...it wqas to show the neglingence of the indian media...that is....they don't even kow that the crime is taking place..even if they are standing riht a t the crime scene...but...they come to think of it...only when the poilce reports it..or in some rare cases..when the other news channel starts publishing it..

i know im stupid..its just that u don't need to tell me about it...:P

When his mate knocked on the door he called the local cops ,this would make special branch's people look like thugs. And he took a chance knowing that he would probably be arrested by local cops (who would be easier to fool)

That's the peculiarity of Dibakar Banerjee, that he leaves it for us to decide on how to perceive a scene. There can be n versions of the scene we are discussing about, the main thing is that we feel connected to it. what is right or wrong, is for us to decide.

And about the photo album, my friend, the middle class families of our country derives the memories of their lives through these albums. That's what director tries to show in the film. I am awestruck by the amount of detailing the director does in his films("Khosla Ka Ghosla" included). This was even agreed upon by a man whom I met in a cyber cafe near my house, who played a small character in this film(man who was listening to commentary on radio when Abhay and Manu were stealing some furnitures).

For me Manu(Bangali) was the actor and character of the movie.

Watch out for Love Sex aur Dhokha of the same director releasing on 19th march 2010.
