Conflicts in Reviews explained

Before I begin let me tell you i rated the movie as a 9. (Wanted to do a 10 but left that for lack of a coherent thread during the 3 acts of the movie). I understand why some people would not like the movie, the lingo, the attitude portrayed in the movie. Obviously these people have never lived or visited Delhi. the essence of the Delhi culture, the language and the attitude is inculcated into the characters so well that the nuances of their behaviors can only be understood by someone who was brought up in that culture.

Without making Lucky Singh dance a bhangra or showing a Punjabi wedding with rich people drunk on scotch ( the usual ploys used by " boillywood directors") Dibakar Banerjee captures the essence of a delhi/punjabi culture to the core.

when he directed khosla ka ghosla i thought he had a master piece( a 10 rating for that) he only outdoes himself in the pace and humor in this movie.

IMO the scene in the beginning where Paresh Rawal is running behind young lucky when he asks for a motor cycle, and his young 3 year old brother come out to defend him and starts hitting presh rawal with all his might , fearless, selfless, like a perfect sardar ...took the cake I was laughing my guts out. You have to be a very aware director to think of a shot like that.

Correctly put into words.

And that scene was really great- that kid sardar! I really wonder how could the writer-director visualise that. It was just too good.

Best movie everrrr. The cinematography is excellent, the story is f'n amazing, the acting is unforgettable, the dialouge is f'n awesome. It's the best Bollywood movie I've ever seen. It's kinda like an American indie flick. It has a real indie vibe and so does Khosala Ka Ghosala. Unlike other Bollywood movies.
