The River Within vs. Fireproof

I watched "the river within" in theaters a week ago. I hear people who watch it compare it to "fireproof" but it's much better than that. It has more realism and works as a good movie and not just a christian movie. I'm glad they cut down on the cheese and focused on better themes and acting.

I'm excited to see what Christian movies are going to do from here. I'm glad someone's made a movie that I'm not embarrassed to show my friends who aren't christians.

What a great film. Much better than "Fireproof" and with a much smaller budget. Congratulations to everyone who worked on it.

You've made something great.

I'm sorry, but there is just no comparison. River was a fine little flick, but Fireproof far outshined it. The acting, the script, the directing, the special effects...every aspect, Fireproof wins hands down. My family can't stand to watch a "B" movie with me; I love "B" movies, and again I loved this one, but I really don't think The River Within trumped Fireproof.
