When the father Brendon nod to each other?

When he was fighting tommy they exchanged nods to each other, like there shared a telepathic moment... What were they nodding to each other about? What were they agreeing on?

reply

He was telling him it was OK to tap his brother out.

reply

It wasn't telepathic.

He was simply letting his son know it was alright to put his other son down.

Can you imagine how hard that would be to do? Ever fight your own brother? I mean fight to really hurt?

reply

It was worse than that. His brother never lost a fight before either. And he felt as though he had no family that cared. Which is why the I Love You broke him.

reply

It's up to the viewer to figure that out.

I figured he's nodding to let his son know he understands why they have to use violence to show eachother love. Because they were raised that way. That's what I got from it.

It's not "up to the viewer". It was very obvious. Maybe not to the common moron that needs everything spoon fed to them. But he was CLEARLY nodding to tell him it's OK to tap him out.

Damn that's deep as hell. Never thought of it that way before. I thought they were more acknowledging each other, maybe reconciling a bit?
