Homophobes beware!

This is a story about a gay man and gay relationships, and even though I'm not gay, I really enjoyed this film. It's a touching story, and both Damon and Douglas are excellent in it.

Don't be put off by the subject matter, expand your mind's. It's actually really sad that he had to cover up the fact that he was gay until the day he died.
What's more amazing is that nobody ever guessed that he was gay!!
He is the archetypal gay man who is referenced as gay personified, so I appreciate the irony too.

Never GUESSED? You're kidding. Like Lance Armstrong over steroids, Li actually sued if accused believe it or not; and won. Old women would defend him more than anything. They loved the fantasy of this glamorous man taking them away I guess. _gag-

I'm saying that despite his obvious raging gayness, he remained in the closet until after he was dead. He wouldn't admit to it, despite it being so totally obvious to us.
People believed he was straight back then, because being gay was so taboo.

Who didn't back then; Raymond Burr, Paul Lynne, and Rock Hudson? Nothing new! Some are still trying to pass; esp. old guys.

He hid the fact that he was gay until he'd died. That is all I'm saying, and I believe that it is true.
He also made all of his sexual partners sign non-disclosure forms to say that they couldn't talk about him.

I thought the scene with them both wearing fur coats going to an adult store was a little dumb.

I have read stories that Liberace was picking men up while shopping in the supermarket.

It's that man again!!

Rock Hudson in person made some overtures to a friend of mine who was, of all things, a hotel clerk checking Hudson into a hotel! My friend was super straight and when he told me about it because he thought it was funny (he was just really good looking and it was not the first time a gay man came on to him), I told him he was mistaken!

I guess I was wrong about Rock Hudson. And I guess he did not try to hide his preferences.

LOL. Relax man. It's a cool movie. The term Homophobe would be like saying Conservativephobe if you have bad things to say about them. Christianphobe. Somehow it's only a one way street. Haters seem to be only people who hate one side, not the other. People disagree. That's life. That's America. And I'm sure this is the kinda flick that "warns" anyone not into the subject. It's pretty up front, per se.

But I am not gay, and this movie was... AWESOME!

It's more than just gay and whatever else, it's just a fantastic movie. That's that.

Some how, some way, political correctness rears it's ugly head once again on this message board.
