For the first time in my life, I left the seat before the movie ended

This movie in my opinion is terrible, think twice before watching it.
Every line is a cliché, the plot is unfolded as if it was written by a twelve years old, the acting and the script are weak to say it gently.
I wonder why Hopkins decided to get involved in this, it's a mystery to me.
One of the dumbest movies I've ever wasted time on.

reply

I thought the exact same thing.

Also, the sound, editing and music is just plain terrible. This movie should have never been made, which is obviously the studios opinion as well.

reply

Totally, and utterly agree. Nice to read an opinion of sense. They seem so rare, these days.
.
Recommend Edgar Randolph. The art of losing control.

He's also one of the producers !

reply

If you don't watch an entire film, you shouldn't bother commenting on it.

reply

no there's no requirement to watch an entire film before forming an opinion about it. it's not like a lot of seemingly bad films ended up having endings that redeemed it.

reply

Especially when the premise was hokey from the start. This movie never got off the ground and stayed flat until the ending. I can see how somebody would not see it until the end and still believe they had seen enough to judge it. This was a mediocre film from the off.

reply

It's terrible boring crap with a *beep* superstitious story on top of ripping off Silence Of The Lambs.

reply

You must have seen it outside of the US. It has been literaly released everywhere but here. That says something about a film with big American actors heading it. It comes out in September here supposedly and has been on the internet since last year.

reply

"big American actors heading it" You might want to brush up on your knowledge of actors nationalities. I would say there was a main cast of 4 and only 1 was American. Still a terrible film, with a nonsense plot and a questionable hair style for poor old Anthony Hopkins.

reply

Maybe it is deemed too "difficult" for Americans.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

reply

Hopkins is Welsh, Farrell is Irish and Kornish is Australian.

reply

i think the movie was good until you get to know that the killer also is a psychic. After that the movie went from "realistic" to something more like fantasy/science fiction

reply

Yeah, exactly, that part ruined the whole experience.

The idea of police vs killer phsychic completely ruined the movie. They should of start this movie as a pure scifi if they wanted to do a pure-sci-fi like they did on the second act.

It's like the director got tired, went away and his yonger brother (who doesn't know sh-t about movies) went ahead and filmed the rest of the movie.

Alex Vojacek

And we all know how silly and unsuccessful those kind of daft fantasy/science fiction movies are!
