A little too much of a downer...

I thought this movie was going to focus more on some of the businesses and positive things that the vast majority of porn stars do after they end their career. Instead, they seemed to find the 5-10 stars who for some reason detested what they did. Let me tell you something, the views of these people who were interviewed is not the mainstream view of most of the stars. A LOT of them are very successful and influential. A LOT of them are the friendliest most polite most helpful and caring and well-mannered people you will ever meet. I've been to several of the conventions. And they all are always great people to meet and chat with whether you're paying for an autographed picture or you just wanna shake their hand. And the public reception to porn stars is not what this movie makes it out to be. This isn't the 80s anymore. Pornstars are very well respected. In this movie, Randy West is the only one who seemed to not have anything bleak or downright depressing to say about the industry. It almost looked like the maker of this film actually wanted to cast a dark look at the industry. All the saddening stories and the regret...porn is a multi-BILLION dollar industry. Sex is the most successful business in the history of humankind. And when all else crumbles, you can bet anything that sex will still sell. These stars get paid very well. Stars get noticed everywhere they go because everybody watches porn at some point. And all the BS stories about stars going places and being looked down on because they are recognized...that is a total load of crap. If I go to an establishment, and a worker or manager recognizes me, it is because that person watches porn. Not because they looked up my name on the internet...they watch porn. I just wish this movie didn't try soo hard to demonize the industry. Lots of stars enjoy what they do and truly love every aspect of it. And a lot of them have supporting families, friends, and fans. And this is 2013...a business is not gonna turn away ANY client just because they are porn stars. Charities DO NOT snub donations from porn stars...unless you blatantly inform that charity that you are Vivid and the money is from the latest porn movie. A porn star who discreetly donates money just like the rest of us will never get turned down. This movie could have been better if they didn't focus soo much on negativity.
