Luke Ford is a dick.

He kept calling porn performers "prostitutes" and likening them to prostitutes. What a clueless turd he is.

There really IS a big difference between prostitutes and porn performers.

Yeah, Rob Black said it was the camera. And a significant portion of porn stars escort on the side, so it's not that farfetched.

reply

Yes, a porn performer can be a prostitute (and many are), but a prostitute cannot necessarily be a porn performer. Performing on camera is a whole different deal.

what is the difference ?

reply

If you think there's no difference because it's just people having sex, I'm not sure what to tell you because you've apparently not seen any actual porn.

I know this topic is pretty damn old, but I just finished watching the documentary. Not trying to be rude, but can you tell me how it's different? Prostitute is defined as engaging in sexual activities for money so by definition these pornstars are prostitutes even if they are performing "faking" just like any other prostitute on the streets does in order to satisfy the client faster.

reply

I agree. I would have liked to punch him in his damn face.

reply

The existence of an amateur genre of porn blurs the boundaries, especially in an age of mobile high definition video recording devices (cell phones).

So if a prostitute charges additional for filming, is that porn?

Bauer vs. Bourne, that is the question.

reply

He's actually correct.

reply

If there is a line between engaging in prostitution and pornography, then it is an extremely blurry one. These people are getting paid to have sex with other people. They call it "performing" to try and distance themselves from that fact. The facial expressions and moaning may be a performance, but the sex is not. It is actual sex. I assume prostitutes also fake some moaning and screaming. If an adult wants to be in pornography, fine, but I do not think they are being sincere by claiming that it is not prostitution.

looking at his biography he's probably bitter his porn career didn't work out, so he bashes on others that did

"In January 1996, after researching porn for a year, Ford wrote, produced, directed and acted in What Women Want, a pornographic video. It was not a success. Ford is credited as "Dick Dundee

In August 2001, after urgings of his rabbi, Ford sold his main website, lukeford.com to Netvideogirls.com for $25,000, and created lukeford.net which avoided pornography, and focused more on Jewish issues. One year later, after nearly going broke, he returned to his pornographic roots by starting lukeisback.com with many of his old archives

reply

He was spot on with everything he said.

He explained why they are the same yet you claim big differences with no reasons why.
