I love By Any Means

i'm watching the third episode right now, and as much as i love charley boorman, i actually think this show is pretty ... boring. everything seems to be arranged, there are hardly any obstacles to overcome and he just seems to go whereever his producer leads him. that'd be okay, if i'd actually get to see anything of the cities or countries he's in, but it's mostly just "go, go, go, go!" and he's off to the next country.

i expected this to be the kind of show, where they just drop him off by the side of the road in ireland, with a cameraman and a few pounds in his pockets and say: see you in sydney in four months :-)

of course they need to plan this as far as visas go, i get it, but there's not too much for him to do, is it?
