A Word From The White Lady

Regarding this movie - I'm just wondering how a roomful of (allegedly angry) Black gentlemen (or women, for that matter) would manage to sit still while some white dude stood up in front of them and patronizingly lectured them about how they were responsible for all their own problems regarding racism.

I'm also seeing a very solid foundation of inherent sexism in this film. Does this matter to anyone, or is it minor compared to the other issue(s) being discussed? I'm not even the target of these generalizations and I'm still mortified....

One of my favorite lines from any film in cinematic history comes from 'The Last Dragon.' I don't know if you've ever seen it- Taimak, Vanity, Julius Carey.... anyway, the character, Shonuff and his gang burst into the movie theaterr, stopping the projector and interrupting the show. He starts going on and on about how he's the meanest, baddest "mofo" in Harlem, when someone from the audience stands up and yells: WHY DON'T YOU SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP!

God is real. Atheists don't exist
