Plot borrowed from North by Northwest.

Fictional character created to keep real double agent safe. But an innocent man stumbles into and is mistaken for the fictional agent. Love evolves, and the real agent is truly endangered. But forsaking his own safety, he wades into harms way to save the day.

Hitchcocks version much much better. Good guys/bad guys easier to see, less murky Euro-trash bad guys to sift through. Also no Val-the hippo-Kilmer to offer distraction via laughter.

Seemed famailiar to me the whole time.

The only part that doesn't fit is: "Love evolves."

In D.I., they seemed instantly in love, because, well, because it was in the script.

*beep* even the If Looks Could Kill version was better.

40 minutes into the movie I realized this ... almost note for note ... I guess I'll see how it plays out ...
