Decided to give it a chance... Why was this movie made?

I mean, it's a bad movie. Forget about all the controversy that lead up to it, imagine if it was well received and liked... It would still be a bad movie. Why does it ignore the continuity of the past movie? Totally unnecessary. The Kevin character was very unrealistically stupid, not funny stupid, just stupid.

They should have tried to distance themselves from Ghostbusters, and just gone for something original.

Agree 100%. I just watched it and it was so so bad. The plot made no sense, especially having original cast members as new characters. So stupid!

Yes, very bad movie. I hated the way the media said that anyone who disliked it was sexist, that is such bs. I like Kate McKinnon and Kristen Wiig on Saturday Night Live but even they couldn't save such a terrible movie. I'm fairly liberal but I'm getting sick of radical feminists and politically correct social justice warriors.

So true and I kept waiting for something brilliantly funny to happen with Kate McKinnon or someone else and it never happened.

Perfectly put. It was made to make money, but they didn't bother with a good script. It's a steaming turd. Not one funny joke or one original idea in the whole stinking turdfest.
