The female equivalent of "Brokeback Mountain" already exists. They're called "Carol" and "Blue is the Warmest Color".

I was talking in a thematic sense, not a literal one, given "Carol" and "Brokeback" both deal with same sex relationships in a time period when it led to institutionalization or murder (although "Carol" ends with a more optimistic end than "Brokeback" ever could) while "Blue is the Warmest Color" showed the sexual portion of the relationship in a rather frank manner.
